Family Psychological Services work with adults to address a wide range of emotional, relational, and life-stage concerns. Adults often seek support for anxiety, depression, sexuality, ADHD, stress, grief, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, career pressures, and major life transitions. We offer individual, couples, and family therapy, allowing clients to work on personal goals while also improving communication and connection with partners, children, or other family members.
For adults managing depression, Family Psychological Services offers services through our Depression Clinic of Kansas, which emphasizes evidence-based psychotherapy, medication management, lifestyle change, and specialized options for treatment-resistant depression.
Clients learn to clarify patterns, build coping skills, reduce conflict, improve focus, manage mood symptoms, and make healthier decisions during stressful periods of life. Because our staff include psychologists, clinical social workers, counselors, and mental health nurse practitioners, adults are matched with services that best fit their needs within our scope of practice.

All staff have taken specialized training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), EMDR, and Somatic Processing Therapy

Gilah Weissman and Oleg Mironchenko offer both well-established and cutting edge medication management for anxiety. They keep up on the latest developments in med management to offer you the best fit treatment for your symptoms.

Over their mid-life years, adults face a constantly shifting landscape in family, career, aging, and social engagement. We work to make life transitions meaningful and effective.

With consent, we may work with parents, physicians, campus resources, or other supports to coordinate care. For YAs living at home we address communication, expectations, and changing roles.
